An investment of R1

In this South African first, we’re giving you the opportunity to launch your programming career for just R1 upfront. No scams, no games - just our model for financial assistance. With Maven’s Income Share Agreements (ISA), we work to provide you with the opportunity to gain a set of enormously valuable skills without the stress and worry of tuition, loans, or money.

R1

Upfront tuition to launch your development career. Students of Maven Academy can also opt to pay the full tuition fees upfront.

10%

Of your income is repaid for two years after graduation. Payments start when you land a job making at least R240,000 a year and are capped at R48,000

Minimal Investment

Income Share Agreements make our Courses an accessible, risk-free investment for every South African. Our goal is to bring together a diverse group of students all committed to making a career change – regardless of their background or financial circumstances.

This innovative approach to paying for education aligns incentives between a school and its students. Income Share Agreements allow us to take the risk, instead of the students. The immersive learning experience requires hard work, focus, commitment, and absolute dedication. We want to take the financial stress away so that you can focus on making the most of your experience and become the best developer you can be.

Here is an example repayment scenario:

When you land a job that pays R240,000 a year, you will be earning R20,000 before tax per month. Each month, you will pay 10% of your income (R2,000) to Maven. You will make these payments to Maven for 24 months, to a maximum value of R48, 000, after which you are considered paid in full.

Please note that We can accommodate only a limited amount of income share agreements (ISA) per year. Please click here to apply for our ISA programme.

in a "nutshell"

Maven Academy’s Income Share Agreement (ISA) programme is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The option to pay full tuition costs in full is always available to students, and is the least expensive option in the long run.

  • If a student is offered an ISA, their upfront tuition is just R1.
  • Once graduates land a job earning at least R240,000 annually, they pay Maven 10% of their income on a monthly basis for 24 months. Payments are capped at R48,000, so a graduate with a high paying salary isn’t penalised.
  • In any month, if a graduate doesn’t earn at least R20,000 (including if they lose their job or take time off for whatever reason), payments pause.
  • Regardless of the number of payments a graduate has made, their ISA ends after five years.
  • Our ISA programme is open to students who are legally allowed to work in South Africa and have an approved South African bank account.
