I graduated from Edgemead High School with a matric certificate in 1999. Largely self-taught, I have worked for numerous companies and on varying projects. I started as Head of SEO content creation for IT Media before becoming Lead Developer for Handcrafted Webs.
In 2006 I started my own development firm, The Yellow Llama which specialized in medium to large scale WordPress builds for premium brands like Skyy Vodka (in conjunction with Platinum Seed) and South Africa’s biggest cellular network, Vodacom.
In 2013, I became a freelancer for Wonderland Collective and started working on acclaimed pop artist Danny K’s website and application. I joined Wonderland Collective in 2015 as full-time Lead Developer and became part of the management team in 2016. I oversee 2 other developers and have personally developed over 50 websites during the course of my career.

Key Roles & Responsiblities:
- Develop custom WordPress themes based on client requirements
- Build of custom mobile apps using Ionic 2 & 3
- Build of simple static sites using Gatsby & Express / EJS
- Meet with clients to discuss their needs & develop spec
- Manage staff and help them grow their own skills and abilities
- Test & develop with new technologies, to meet client requirements - for eg integrating Google Drive to a client’s intranet, to act as a document repository for their company.
- Problem solving - discussing a client’s current issues, and using my experience & knowledge to troubleshoot their issues and plan a way forward

- Development of custom WordPress themes for clients
- Front-end and templating work for internal ‘eFrog Themes’ eCommerce platform
- Working either directly with clients, or via internal management, to handle brief brake-downs and generate requirement specs.

- As designer, I would work with clients to unpack their requirements and translate this, into a design that they loved.
- As developer, I would convert the approved design, into a bespoke WordPress theme, that was performance, and fully responsive
